If you find the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan isn’t S-Classy enough for you, the car of your dreams was just unveiled concurrently at the Los Angeles and Guangzhou Auto Shows. This is the Mercedes-Maybach S600.
Nearly a foot longer than the S550, this car is more living room than limousine. To paraphrase Jalopnik, AMG® is to performance as Maybach is to luxury. You can see the car in action via the video above, and for the Maybach owner, action consists of a backseat that reclines by up to forty-five degrees and individual tweeters that spiral outward toward the passengers. There’s no middle seat in the back row of this car, but there are extendable leg rests and a standard massage function.
The leather is handstitched, the sound system is Burmester 3D, and the standard champagne flutes are Robbe & Berking. There are also foldout tray tables, a designo® leather headliner, and a MAGIC SKY CONTROL® panoramic sunroof. It even appears, based on the video, that there will be Maybach branded accessories and apparel available to owners.
