This week, Mercedes-Benz launched another gorgeous variation of its esteemed S-Class. The 2015 S63 AMG® 4MATIC® Coupe boasts a handcrafted 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 that cranks out 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque – and it is all-wheel drive. This new model can dash to 60 MPH in 3.9 seconds – not bad for a 4,400 pound vehicle. Industry experts already reached a general consensus that the car is brilliantly engineered and features superior technology.
The lithium ion battery and optional carbon stoppers for brakes shed 140 pounds of curb weight, making it lighter than its predecessor. Mercedes-Benz guarantees that the decrease in poundage makes the car more spirited to drive and saves an undetermined amount of fuel. Keep in mind that your manner of driving may affect miles per gallon, so what kind of driver are you? You didn’t think a blog could be so introspective, did you?
As with any Mercedes-Benz S-Class, you enjoy a number of features and luxuries that that German automaker views as standard for its offerings. This S63 AMG® 4MATIC® is a gorgeous two-door that casts a graceful silhouette, and it has a few additions like modified LED headlamps embedded with Swarovski crystals.
It is hard to determine whether this car looks better or performs better. We can all just agree that it is a superior driving machine.
Though there is no set pricing, the outgoing 2014 CL63 AMG® sold for $155,000, so the 2015 version will likely be close. More information may be released as the coupe makes its official debut next month at the New York auto show. All we know for sure, is that our staff at Mercedes-Benz of Cary is extremely excited about this new model.
